Services Delivered
A flexible and uplifting workspace. Creating a modern, adaptable office in Exeter that supports collaboration, while reflecting the company’s culture and energy.
The Brief
A workplace carefully crafted, enabling employees to work, collaborate, and engage comfortably
Jurassic Fibre engaged Bespa to deliver a new, flexible workspace at Milford House, Pynes Hill, Exeter, supporting their growing team and hybrid working model. Previously in serviced office space, the company wanted an environment where employees feel energised, inspired, and connected to the business culture. By balancing functionality, comfort, and experience, Bespa designed a workplace that allows collaboration, innovation, and flexibility for growth. Staff engagement informed the design, ensuring the space responds to employee needs and encourages well-being, productivity, and creativity. The new office includes upgraded terrace space, adaptable meeting zones, and thoughtfully positioned workstations to maximise natural light and connectivity throughout.
Project Impact
- A space that supports our growth and the way our teams work
- A clear improvement in how teams communicate and collaborate
- A workplace that reflects both brand identity and regional roots
- A future-ready environment built to support expansion and evolving needs
- A workspace that enhances both employee and visitor experience
Space
Spread over two floors, the office provides a mix of collaborative, individual, and breakout areas to support diverse working styles. Permanent desks are positioned along the perimeter to benefit from natural light, while hot-desking and touchdown areas accommodate hybrid working. Large open collaboration zones, huddle spaces, and tea-points allow employees to interact comfortably, while moveable walls in meeting rooms provide flexibility for groups of varying sizes. Acoustic partitions, private phone booths, and a Wellbeing Room offer quiet, restorative spaces. The overall layout encourages movement, collaboration, and interaction while providing zones for focus, privacy, and personal well-being.
Design
The design incorporates a colour palette of neutral warm tones, accented with muted and bold colours on finishes and furnishings to create an uplifting, energising environment. Biophilic elements and abundant natural light enhance the sense of calm and connection to the outdoors. Ergonomic, sit-stand desks and thoughtfully selected furniture support comfort and flexibility, while AV solutions and an IT Support Bar ensure seamless internal and external communications. Soft lighting, muted tones, and a multi-faith Wellbeing Room provide restorative spaces. Every detail is carefully considered to create a cohesive, bright, and inspiring workspace where employees and visitors feel welcome, energised, and supported.
