Goonvean Group & Goonvean Engineering refreshing and reimagining across two environments.
The Brief
A tailored approach delivering a new, future-ready office environment aligned with the group’s identity and operational needs
Bespa partnered with both Goonvean Group and Goonvean Engineering to deliver two distinct yet connected workplace projects. For the engineering team, the focus was on refurbishing and refreshing the existing space, introducing new furniture and integrating brand identity. For Goonvean Group, the move to a new building required detailed space planning to establish the optimal layout, followed by the development of a full design and specification for furniture and lighting. Working collaboratively with the basebuild contractor, Bespa delivered a coordinated CAT B fit-out, ensuring the project aligned with programme requirements and achieved a smooth, timely completion.
Project Impact
- Strengthened brand identity through cohesive design and detailing
- A seamless blend of function and design
- Balanced focus and collaboration with a variety of work settings
Space
The new Goonvean Group workspace is located on the first floor, benefiting from expansive views across the estate and abundant natural light. The layout was carefully planned to maximise these qualities, with a breakout space positioned around full-height windows, wrapping around the building core to create a social hub. Open-plan team areas are subtly divided using planting and suspended acoustic panels, maintaining visual connection while supporting different working styles. Meeting rooms are strategically positioned and fully equipped, ensuring functionality for both collaboration and focused discussions across the business.
Design
The design balances functionality with a clean, contemporary aesthetic that reflects the Goonvean brand. Natural light is enhanced through open planning and the use of glazing, while planting introduces warmth and a connection to the environment. Acoustic solutions, including suspended panels, improve comfort within open-plan areas. Integrated AV within meeting rooms supports seamless communication and collaboration. For the engineering workspace, refreshed finishes and new furniture bring consistency and identity to the environment. Across both projects, every element is carefully considered to deliver cohesive, practical, and future-focused workspaces that support the evolving needs of the group.
