The Brief
A flexible space that balances focus and connection for a modern hybrid workforce
Albert Goodman wanted a workplace that their staff would be proud to work in. The brief was to create a variety of activity-based working spaces and thoughtfully considered zones within the office, breaking up the open-plan layout and supporting different ways of working. Central to the design was the need to accommodate a modern hybrid workforce, providing flexibility for both in-office and remote work. Bespa’s approach focused on crafting a cohesive, welcoming environment that balances functionality with character, delivering a space that encourages focus, interaction, and productivity for all team members.

Space
The new office marked a significant change from the original multi-storey space Albert Goodman had been used to, and we aimed to make this transition as seamless as possible. The design incorporates natural elements, shown to enhance employee wellbeing and create a calm working environment. Bright finishes in the open-plan office complement the large skylight, flooding the space with natural light. The full-size kitchen and adjacent traditional office ensure functionality, while the breakout room is designed to lift morale and provide a welcoming, flexible space for collaboration.
Design
The design celebrates Albert Goodman’s brand through carefully considered finishes, furnishings, and detailing. A neutral palette is enlivened with subtle brand accents, woven through joinery, upholstery, and furniture to create cohesion across the workspace. Natural materials, timber textures, and carefully curated lighting enhance the character of the space, while activity-based zones and flexible layouts reflect the company’s culture. Every element is thoughtfully chosen to create a workplace that feels polished, welcoming, and distinctly connected to the brand.
